Audience
This site is for adults aged eighteen or over, and for readers in a jurisdiction where reading about gambling products is lawful. It is not intended for anyone under eighteen, and it does not serve readers looking for picks, tips, predictions or ways around a rule. Where an age or jurisdiction rule applies to reading, the reader is responsible for it.
The affiliate relationship
The site carries a single affiliate link to a partner operator, marked as sponsored, opening in a new tab, and stated on every page. If a reader opens an account through it and meets the operator's conditions, the site may be paid a commission, at no extra cost to the reader. The site does not rank operators, review them, or recommend one over another; the link is disclosed and is the only commercial element of the site.
What the information is, and is not
The content explains mechanisms and shows arithmetic. It is not legal, financial, investment or gambling advice, and it is not a statement about any particular operator, market or jurisdiction. It quotes no real company's figures, and every number on the site is labelled illustrative and derived from one sample business. Where an operator's own published reporting differs from a figure here, the published reporting decides. Nothing on this site is a system, a method or a signal for improving a chance.
The risks, stated plainly
Every product described in this series is built with a margin in the provider's favour, so the expected result of play over time is a loss. On this desk's own arithmetic that margin is the hold: the difference between what is staked and what is returned, which in the sample is £4.00 of every £100.00 staked and which no promotion changes. A bonus can move a customer's experience of a month and it does not move the arithmetic of the games underneath it. Nothing on this site is an encouragement to play, and nothing here is a reason to think a result can be anticipated.
Staying in control
- Decide what you are willing to spend before you spend it, and treat it as money that is gone.
- Never stake money you cannot afford to lose, never borrow or use credit to stake, and never chase a loss.
- Use the controls that licensed operators must provide: deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders, time-outs and self-exclusion. They are free, and they work.
- If gambling has stopped being entertainment, or is affecting your money, your sleep or the people around you, seek support early rather than after things get worse.
Where to find support
Free and confidential help exists in most countries, for players and for the people around them. National gambling helplines, problem-gambling counselling services and free debt-advice services are usually reachable by a search for the service in your own country or by asking a healthcare provider. If money is the immediate problem, free debt-advice services exist alongside the gambling services, and they are free.
